In Honor of Veterans Day

In honor of Veterans Day 2022, our Veterans Day Reenactment will be held on Sunday November 6. The reenactment of the Second Virginia Convention, featuring 9 Virginia delegates, culminates in Patrick Henry’s powerful “Give me liberty or Give me death!’ speech, delivered March 23, 1775. Present inside St. John’s Church that day were men like George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Harrison, Richard Henry Lee, and President of the Convention Peyton Randolph (who also served as President of the First and Second Continental Congresses).
Join us and experience history inside the place where it happened.

House Rules for Historic St. John’s Church
We encourage masks but they are no longer required.
Seating is first come, first served.
There is no food, drink, gum, candy, strollers, backpacks or firearms permitted inside the church.
Bags larger than 16 x 16 x 8 are prohibited inside the church. Any and all bags are subject to inspection. Please leave backpacks and bags inside your vehicle as we have no place to store them.
