WORSHIP AT ST. JOHN'S CHURCH
St. John's is an active parish church in the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia. Our worship is according to the Book of Common Prayer. The Holy Eucharist is celebrated at each of our Sunday Services. Visitors are always welcome to worship with us. St. John's is a place where people of faith have gathered continuously since 1741 to worship the Lord, to be nurtured in their spiritual journeys, and to be equipped for their ministry in daily life. We are a people with open minds, open hearts, and open doors.

WEDDINGS AT ST. JOHN'S
All weddings at St. John's are according to the Book of Common Prayer of the Episcopal Church, and in accordance with the canons of the Church. We would be pleased to have a conversation with you about your proposed wedding. For a copy of our guidelines, you may contact the Parish Administrator at 804-649-7938. Basic expectations include attendance at church services, a daylong pre-marital seminar at the Virginia Institute for Pastoral Care and three or four sessions with the Celebrant of the wedding (usually the Rector). If possible, initial contact should be made, at least, six months in advance. Couples planning their wedding at St. John's will work with the Rector, the organist, and one of the parish's wedding coordinators.
