The Richmond Sacred Harp Singers St. John’s Parish Hall, a joyful, vigorous, eclectic group of singers, will return for a sing-along practice session using hymns written in shape notes from The Sacred Harp psalter.  Written for singers who did not read music in churches without musical instruments, shape note hymns were popular in 18th century America.  Loaner psalters will be available for anybody who wishes to sing-along.
Drift in and out at your leisure, even if you do not read music, and join us for a unique musical experience.  No admission will be charged.
